Designer Highlight: Junky Styling

They may not be from the Americas, but I would be remiss not to mention them in my coverage of fellow emerging but established upcycled brands. Started by two women with no formal design training, Junky Styling blossomed in the 1990s after they traveled the world, wearing their designs, set up shop in an quirky and industrialized building in London, and opened their doors to clients wanting artesenal, one of a kind pieces reconstructed from old men's suits.

They definitely showed me the possibilities for an emerging upcycled brand to make a trade name for itself. Annika Saunders and Kerry Seager- I salute you.
